a place by the sea
The title of the work 'a place by the sea' references the current trend in television programming that seems to be obsessed with the development or purchasing of property. Within the context of this new land grab that is taking place this ongoing series of images is concerned with the topographic and social changes that development brings. A study is made of these spaces, juxtaposing the new landscapes with elements of the old to investigate their relationship. lee also calls into question the notion of the area as a rural idyll and the images suggest there may be an uneasy divide between the local population and the new incomers
